In Celebrating the Hero's Comet!, three Banette were living on an unnamed island in the Decolore Islands. In PK15, a Banette was living in a spooky house. In May, We Harley Drew'd Ya!, Banette competed in the Kanto Grand Festival. In New Plot, Odd Lot!, it competed in the Mulberry Contest. He first used it against May during the Hoenn Grand Festival.

The first zipper runs from its left eye to the tip of its central spike.
